ABOUT ME
My interest in Photography and Film began in childhood through family who were always taking pictures and home movies. My lifelong passion for photography began in earnest during high school through classes taught by photographer David Newman. Like many, Adam Ansel 1902~1984 was an early inspiration. I have been influenced by the art of Robert Capa 1913~1954. Richard Avedon 1923-2004, Henri Cartier-Bresson 1908~2004, Helen Levitt 1913~2009, Lois Conner, 1949~1951 and Annie Leibovitz, 1949~present. I loved working in the darkroom but I made the switch from film to digital in 2004 and haven't looked back.
I strive from the start to capture the best image I can . . . subject, composition, aperture-light, shutter-speed. I process my images in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for the final product. My digital photography is available for license to digital productions, print publications and is represented broadly in Woosh Productions' film projects. On occasion I issue Limited Edition framed prints curated through the 15TH STREET GALLERY in Salt Lake City.
Home and studio is in the quiet hamlet of Holladay near Salt Lake City Utah, which I share with my wife, and dogs Paris (yellow Lab) and Buck (white Boxer), cherished regular visits from our kids who bring Daisy (French Bull Dog) and Watson (English Bull Dog) and "Q" for Quincy the Cat. O'The Fun!
